ABOUT ME
Brock Bergstedt.
Hello, my name is Brock Bergstedt. I am a very lucky man. I currently teach kindergarten at Weddle Elementary School. This fall will be my second year teaching kindergarten, prior to that I taught five years of second grade. I absolutely love my job and couldn't imagine doing anything else. I am lucky enough to be married to my best friend since middle school, Heather. My wife is also a teacher in the Salem Keizer School District. Together we have two incredible children. We have a brilliant four year-old son named Otis and fearless daughter named Mosley.
My reason for participating in this program might be different than most. I am a classic "paper and pencil" kind of guy. Technology is something I never had confidence with. After teaching for a few years, it was quickly apparent that technology was going to very much be part of my job. I was watching my fellow peers around me integrate technology and do the most amazing things. With that in mind, I took the risk and decided to get my M.S. in Ed. Information Technology... It was a true test of my patience and determination. However, I have gained skills and confidence that will shape and inspire the way I teach. I feel that myself, as well as my students, have benefited a tremendous amount from this program.
