Classroom Tech Audit

 2a and 2b

I created a digital audit for my staff to take on their feelings towards technology, how much they use it, and what forms of technology they use or have available. This allowed me to see how my entire building uses technology and what technology is available. I collected the data from the entire school and then took the data to the administrations and looked at the equality of technology in the building and identified what issues or concerns needed to be addressed. We found that some grade levels had more access than others and that the lower grades were not using nearly as much as our intermediate classes.

iste standards prezi

2a

I created a Prezi on the ISTE standards. I created this Prezi to share with the staff I work with. I was able to briefly talk about it at a leadership meeting and then shared it with the staff via email. The ISTE standards had never been heard of by the majority of my staff. This presentation is a quick overview of what, how to use, when to use, and why to use these standards when teaching. It also has a video on the importance of these standards. My hope was that my colleagues would be intrigued by the presentation and hopefully consider taking technology implementation to the next level with more purpose and priority.

SAMR TWINE

 2c

I created a Twine presentation to introduce and explore the SAMR model with my fellow colleagues. The Twine was sent via email to my staff. Again, my staff had never heard of this model. The presentation was to inform my colleagues of where they were on the model and what steps they could take to better implement technology into their instruction. Many people think that showing a clip is how technology is best used. The Twine models how the SAMR model can be used to elevate the lesson. If used correctly, the SAMR model can be a great way for an individual to assess their own personal practices.
